Privacy Policy for Doqify AiDocs
Privacy Policy for Doqify AiDocs
Last updated: August 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Doqify AiDocs ("the App," "we," "our")
handles information when you use the app.
Summary
Doqify AiDocs lets you view, convert, merge, and scan documents, and
generate/scan QR codes. Most of the app's tools run entirely on your
device. A small number of features send data off your device, and this
policy explains exactly which ones, what is sent, and why: converting
Word documents to PDF (via a document-conversion processor), and — where
enabled — app analytics, crash reporting, and advertising (via Google
Firebase and Google AdMob).
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email,
or any personal identifiers to use the app.
- We do not access your files, photos, or camera except when you
explicitly select a file/photo through Android's system picker, or
actively use the camera scanner/QR features.
- We do not sell your personal information.
How Each Feature Handles Your Data
PDF Viewer, PDF Merge, Image to PDF, QR Code Generator, QR/Barcode
Scanner, Text Recognition (OCR)
These features run entirely on your device, including on-device machine
learning for text and barcode recognition. Your documents, images, and
scanned content are never uploaded to us or any third party for these
features.
Word (.doc/.docx) to PDF Conversion
Because converting legacy Word formats requires processing that isn't
feasible on a phone, this specific feature sends the document you select
to our document-conversion processor, Cloudmersive, Inc., over an
encrypted (HTTPS) connection. The converted PDF is returned to your
device and saved locally. We do not retain a copy of the uploaded
document on our own servers. Please refer to Cloudmersive's privacy
policy (https://cloudmersive.com/privacy-policy) for how they handle
data in transit through their conversion service. If you'd prefer this
feature never sends data off your device, avoid using Word-to-PDF
conversion — all other tools in the app remain fully offline.
Saved Files
Files you create or convert (PDFs, images, QR codes) are saved to your
device's Downloads folder and referenced in the app's local "Recent
Files" list. This list is stored only on your device and is never
transmitted anywhere.
Analytics, Crash Reporting, and Advertising
Doqify AiDocs uses the following Google services to help us understand
app performance and, where applicable, to support the app with
advertising:
- Firebase Analytics — collects information about how you use the
app (screens viewed, features used, general usage patterns), along
with device identifiers, to help us understand and improve the app.
- Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash reports and diagnostic data
(stack traces, device model, OS version, app version) when the app
encounters an error, to help us fix bugs.
- Google AdMob — displays ads within the app. AdMob may collect your
advertising ID and other device/usage data to serve ads, measure ad
performance, and, where you have provided consent, personalize the ads
you see. Where required by law (including in the EEA, UK, and
California), we request your consent before showing personalized ads,
and you may withdraw or manage that consent through the in-app consent
prompt or through your device's Google Ads Settings
(https://adssettings.google.com).
These services are provided by Google and operate under Google's own
privacy commitments. For details on how Google collects and processes
data through these services, see:
- Google's overview of data use in apps and sites that use Google
services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Firebase's privacy and security documentation:
https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob's data disclosure:
https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543
You can opt out of personalized advertising, and, on supported Android
versions, reset or delete your advertising ID at any time from your
device's Settings app (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Permissions We Request
- Camera — to scan documents and QR/barcodes. Camera frames are
processed locally and are not stored or transmitted unless you save
the resulting scan yourself.
- Internet / Network State — used for the Word-to-PDF conversion
feature, and by Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and AdMob as
described above.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Data is shared only as described above: with
Cloudmersive to perform Word-to-PDF conversions you request, and with
Google (Firebase and AdMob) for analytics, crash reporting, and
advertising.
Data Retention & Deletion
Since we don't operate accounts or servers that store your files, you
control most of your data directly: uninstalling the app or clearing its
storage in Android Settings removes all locally stored preferences and
recent-file records. Files you've saved to your Downloads folder are
yours and are not affected by uninstalling the app. Analytics, crash, and
advertising data collected by Firebase/AdMob is retained and deleted
according to Google's own retention policies, linked above.
Children's Privacy
Doqify AiDocs is not directed at children under 13, and we do not
knowingly collect information from children. The app does not
participate in Google Play's Families program.
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct,
delete, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to
opt out of personalized advertising. To exercise any of these rights,
contact us using the details below.
Security
Data transmitted for the Word-to-PDF feature, and by Firebase/AdMob, is
sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The "Last updated" date
above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app
after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
